is going on outside, but she reads to
her children in bed, reassuring them.
The children listen to the story and don't
seem to respond to the situation outside,
                                                                      concentrating on their mother's words
                                                                      and expressions.

On the deck of the ship, a band is
performing for the people and themselves.
No one listens to the band's performance,
but they play to give people a feeling of
calm. James Cameron, the director of
Titanic made a few videos about the truth
of this scene. It was a story created for
the movie which stimulated the audience's
Even at the moment of death, J
ack and Rose think only of each other curiosity and sensibility. Also, the director
made this movie to help us identify with
the people who lived 84 years ago, telling it from the perspective of Rose, who has grown old.

In the film, the passive Rose meets Jack and, through the process of escaping the Titanic, turns
into a resourceful woman. Although it isn’t the main focus of the movie, Titanic also includes a
criticism of technological civilizations. At the time the ship was built, no one expected it to sink. It
was a giant ship, built with cutting-edge technology. However, it also shows us that technology of
mankind is never perfect, and the price for ignoring the weakness is bound to come back to us.
The film also satirizes the upper class characters, such as Rose's mother and Rose's fiancé,
though Rose is already disillusioned with this upper-class life. The scene where people board the
lifeboats, which can only carry half of the Titanic’s passengers, depicts the cruel behavior of upper-
class people as they try to save first-class passengers and let the people below die. The worst
scene of all happens during a conversation between Rose's mother and Rose’s fiancé, Carl. When
Rose's mother gets on a lifeboat, she says, “Are we going to get on the lifeboat? I hope it's not too
                crowded.”
When I saw this movie, I could see the class differences clearly, but it was still wonderful and
beautiful to see people care for others. I recommend Titanic.
