Han, Hye-jin’s digital runway

This year Seoul Fashion Week took place online without WWD
Korea. During Seoul fashion week, prearranged designers from the
Seoul Collection and Generation Next were visited and interviewed.
Seoul Fashion Week progressed in this manner, and the fashion
industry continued to make the fashion business prosperous,
overcoming COVID-19. But can a person do this too?

Model Hye-jin Han was present on the digital runway
during her 100 outfit challenge. To make up for the
cancellation of Seoul Fashion Week and to stir up interest
in Korea’s fashion industry, she planned the 100 outfit
challenge. This project impressed the many people
involved as well as the public. The model revealed her
motive, saying, “I thought I would be on the runway
this year because I took a break last year. I missed the
stage. But then, the Seoul Collection was cancelled due
to COVID-19. I have been on this stage for more than
20 years, but because of COVID-19, I couldn’t walk the
runway. I couldn’t just overlook this situation. If I were to do
that, I would be really stupid. What are we going to do with
all these clothes? Let’s put them on!” Like this, the fashion
industry and the people in the business overcame the
COVID-19 situation in many ways.
