the entire process from planning to promotion and distribution in order
to produce the desired result. In particular, they have played a crucial
role in making the hanbok a huge Hallyu trend on the world stage by
having these Hallyu artists participate in the development process,
designing costumes and actively participating in promotional activities,
such as stage costume production and pictorial shoots.
Among the companies that are collaborating with them, there are
a total of ten hanbok-
specializing companies
with brand and technical
skills, including Danha
Joodan, Creation Space
Marg in, Sonj jang,
Yeomida, Tsai Kim,
Hanbokrin, Hyeon, and
Sangbaek Ok-soo (in
Korean alphabetical
order).
The Hanbok Promotion
Center has drawn keen
attention from the overseas fashion market by recruiting overseas
experts as judges and advisors for the planning stage, creating a
foundation for the distribution of Hanbok products developed around
the world. In particular, they will invite Ty Hunter, a stylist for world-
renowned pop star Beyonce, David Hadida, business director of
Paris Leclair, and three major editorial shops around the world to help
with the overseas expansion and sale of hanboks. This project was
a part of the traditional hanbok promotional field organized by CAST
(Connect, Accompany to Make Synergy and Transformation). This
organization means to systematically support the entire process of
planning, development, promotion, and distribution so that small and
medium-sized Korean companies with potential, technical skills, and
Hallyu contents can meet to discuss new possibilities. Meanwhile,
hanbok products planned and developed through the project will be
unveiled to the public at the end of November this year.
