COVID-19 And Medical Waste

Have you ever imagined how the masks we
use these days are being thrown away? Or
even if you haven’t, have you seen how we
throw away the injection needles and alcohol
swabs used when we go to hospital? Medical
waste is generated by various medical
institutions, and it’s a lot more than we expect.
Then, how are we discarding this much
garbage?
First, medical waste is divided into general Medical waste divided by kind
waste, such as bandages and disposable

syringes, pathological waste, such as tissues
and organs, isolated medical waste likely
to be infectious, and damaged waste, such
as needles. Actually, this waste is collected

or crushing facility. So, how will medical waste
from patients with high rates of infection be
treated? And is there any way to recycle
medical waste in a more eco-friendly way?
