Why does Quebec, Canada speak French?

Quebec is located in the eastern part of Canada, and, to us, it is famous
as being a filming location for the drama Goblin. Canada is an English-
speaking country where English is the main language, but in the case of
Quebec, Canada, it is the only province in Canada that uses French as its
official language. So why does Quebec use French as its official language?
In 1608, a Frenchman named Samuel de Champlain discovered the
area for first time and founded a colony. This place officially became a
British territory after the Treaty of Paris was signed in 1763, and several
confrontations between France and England from 1841 to 1867 followed. It
also led to the colonization of Canada. Quebec is a country with great pride
in French, so much so that it enacted laws to prevent the use of English,
the most spoken language in Canada. In fact, it is said that only about 2%
of people in Quebec are English speakers. This can be seen by looking
at videos and photos of Quebec, where only French is used in signs and
commercial advertisements. There is even a saying that the people of
Quebec are against “English aggression.” This is why French must be used
in all workplaces and businesses.
Additionally, since Canada is a federal state, each province in Canada has
its own laws and institutions. If not for that fact, French may have already
disappeared from Canada long ago.
In practice, even the names of international businesses are changed to
