Recently, massive protests have taken place in South America,
including Colombia, Brazil, and Uruguay, and European
countries, including France, Spain, and Britain, calling for the
guarantee of women’s human rights. “The patriarchal system
of Un Violator en Tu Camino (A rapist in your way) is a judge
who judges us from birth, and he punishes us with violence.
Femicide, acquittal of the perpetrator, disappearance, rape, all
this is not my fault. It's not my fault where I was or what I wore.
You're the rapist. Yeah, you. The police, the judge, the state,
and the president. The state that oppresses women itself is a
rapist. The country that oppresses women itself is a rapist,” one
woman was quoted as saying. She even has a campaign to
improve men's sexual awareness.
Korea also staged a protest at
Marronnier Park in Hyehwa, Seoul,
on Dec. 28th, 2019 to demand a
battle against Femicide. They also
showed a variety of performances that
showed the country's rampant crimes
against women, harsh punishments,
International abolition movement
side pemi’ and deep-rooted misogyny, sending a
message condemning the incumbent
administration for sitting on the sidelines.
Some of Korea's most common cases
include the murder of Changwon's
God-gat-jab owner and the murder
in Gangnam, with a regular customer
committing murder in anger over the
cold treatment of other customers and
the lack of service in grilling meat. This
case is also criticized for trying to bury
the Femicide case as a “don't ask” case.
