In August, a hands-on1) experience report contest was held for the student
clubs at Myeong-shin Girls' High School. Thus on August 8th, Doctors, the club I
belong to, visited Incheon's St. Mary's Hospital to experience new jobs. The staff
member who was supposed to guide us greeted us warmly at the entrance of the
                            hospital.

Before listening to an explanation about radiographers2), we decided to tour
the hospital to find out what each department did. St. Mary's Hospital consists
of the new building, the main building, the annex3), the custom cancer treatment
hospital, and the newly built brain sciences building. The first place we saw was the
new building. There were the patient's rooms, the department of ophthalmology4),
and the department of dermatology5). Then, there was the main building. The
main building consisted of a CT room, the ENT department6), and the pediatrics7)
department. The last building we saw was the brain hospital, which was completed
                            on May 30.

After we looked around and figured out the whole structure of the hospital, we
finally went to the radiology department. Although there was another CT room in
the main building, the radiographer who was supposed to guide us was working in
the CT room in the brain hospital. We then decided to visit the CT room located in
the brain hospital. When we left the new building and entered the CT room located
in the brain hospital, we got to see the MRI machines and actual filming equipment.
Luckily, when we were there, a patient was getting a procedure, so we were able to
see the actual photography process and the way to operate the device.

After watching everything, we decided to interview the radiographer who
guided us. The first question was about how to become a radiographer. "To become
a radiographer" he said, "You need to graduate from a university and obtain a
