us. The white sand and emerald sea served as a photo zone for
students. Students made good memories while walking along the
trail and taking pictures with their friends. Most of the students
were unwilling to leave the sea of Jeju, saying the time was too
short.
That day, we also visited Camellia Hill as the last stop. Camellia Hill is an
arboretum4) famous for its camellia flowers. Camellia flowers bloom from
February to March. Because we went there in April, we could only see the
withered5) camellia flowers. At that time hydrangeas6) were everywhere.
This place was the filming site for the music video of the song Lies by B1A4.
It was really interesting to visit the places featured in the music video.
There were several glass greenhouses on Camellia Hill. On entering the
greenhouses, visitors were surrounded by the sights and smells of all the
flowers. Camellia Hill was decorated with light bulbs on every corner, so
many people were taking pictures on those beautiful streets. There was also
a cafe/souvenir shop at the entrance of Camellia Hill. Among the souvenirs,
the Orgel and paper cups were the prettiest.
On the third day, we went to ride a rail bike. This was the first rail
bike constructed on Jeju island. To be honest, students didn’t really
like the idea of riding a rail bike, saying it would be too difficult.
Contrary to their expectations, however, it ran automatically most of
the time, so we could all ride comfortably without pedalling. As we
rode the rail bike in the cool breeze, the leisurely7) scenery unfolded
around us. We could see Yongnuni Oreum8) in the distance and the
horses grazing. The beautiful scenery unfolded before our eyes,
making the spring of Jeju more enjoyable. Also, the downhill section
in the middle of the course added some fun to the ride as we sped
up, racing our friends on the rail next to us.
